Foundation History

The Igbo Ambassadors Nottingham UK, was established on 8th August 2014, and was officially inaugrated on 8th August 2015.

Formation History

The founder of this great organisation is "Engineer Gerald Okocha", and other three co-founders; "Mazi Anthony Chikeka", "Mazi Sunny Izegbune"

Our Internal Affairs

We hold our general meetings every second Sunday of the month and membership of the association are open to the entire Igbo Diaspora

Our mission is to serve as a platform for the Igbo People (Ndi Igbo) in Nottingham as one big dedicated committee of Friends and Family promoting Igbo Values, Language, Traditions, and norm amoungst Ourselves and with Communities in which we interact.

As IGBO Ambassadors in Diaspora, it behoves on us to use our rich cultural values to empower our immediate communities positively through the work that we do – unifying our people as depicted in motto; “In Love We Are United and Strong”.

Embracing the English social culture while embedding our ethnic, social culture, in an effort enrichment of our presence in the United Kingdom.

Our Vision is to continue to nurture a dynamic sustainable committee of friends and inclusive cultural association, whose members not only good steward of our host nation, but true cultural Ambassadors of our ancestral homeland.

Igbo Ambassadors Nottingham UK, is a law abiding association and always supports some group of people in Nottingham community when neccessary.

we organise seminars attending to various matters such as; Mental Health, Education Investment, Opportunities or other business interest which are designed to teach and inform our members.

These activities are sometimes accomplshed in conjuction with highly qualified professionals and other community groups.

Igbo Ambassadors Nottingham UK, also make donations to various groups in Nottingham Community; for instance, Donations to the Nottingham Refugee Forum, and Donations to the Retired Catholic Priest, to mention but a few.

Every year ends with our much talked about and hugely anticipated Christmas party, which is particularly grand event with Food, Drinks, and various Cultural activities showcasing our Robust and Vibrant traditions to the public.

The Igbo Ambassadors Nottingham is a Socio-Cultural Organization that as been actively operating in United Kingdon and in Nigeria aimed at Unifying the Igbos’, in the twenty-first century diaspora through Charitable Trust. Embracing the English social culture while embedding our ethnic, social culture, in an effort enrichment of our presence in the United Kingdom.
