History of the Igbo Ambassadors Nottingham
The Igbo Ambassadors Nottingham UK, was established on 8th August 2014, and was officially inaugrated on 8th August 2015.
Igbo Ambassadors Nottingham UK, is a committee of friends and a social-cultural association which was primarily formed to serve the interest of its’ members livining in or around Nottingham.
The Igbo Ambassadors Nottingham UK, is a Non-Governmental Organisation without a Political or Military interest, neither is it a Charity Organisation.
We have a Focus, Purpose, Good Work Ethics together and with our Local Community.
Formation History
The founder of this great organisation is “Engineer Gerald Okocha”, and other three co-founders; “Mazi Anthony Chikeka”, “Mazi Sunny Izegbune”, and “Mazi Ben Anyagwa”.
It is interesting to be noted that the founder seek for advise from the late “Chief Benard Okenwa” before the formation of this organisation.
But the High Chief made it quite clear to Engineer Okocha that he is not in support of the formation of this association if the purpos is to distabilise the Igbo Union, also in Nottingham, UK.
Then, Engineer Okocha made clear and assure him that, it is a committee of friends that will support each other in times of need.
The High Chief, later blessed Engineer Okocha to go ahead to form the organisation (association).
